2006 TENNIS RULES
Please review these=
rules
carefully before playing. =
Staff
members will vigorously enforce all rules; violations may result in suspens=
ion
or loss of tennis facility privileges.=
1. Tennis
Pro. Tennis Pro and Program Director, Ron Milenko, is
available at the back courts for private lessons, clinics and other activit=
ies
for all ages and skill levels, during the peak season. Further information is available a=
t the
clubhouse.
2. =
Proper
Attire. Proper tennis attire is requ=
ired
and white attire is preferred. No
sleeveless men’s tank shirts, women’s halter tops, cut-off shor=
ts,
spandex or tube tops are permitted on the courts at any time.
3. =
Tennis
Shoes Only. Only non-marking tennis shoe=
s are
permitted on the courts. All =
shoes
with non-white soles will be checked by the recreation staff or tennis pro =
to
insure that they will not mark the courts.=
4. =
No
Tennis Lessons During Prime Time. In order to minimize distraction to players, teaching of
novice players, except on the

Sitting on Courts.

Three
Balls Only During Prime Time. A maximum of three balls are
permitted per court between

Check-In
Procedures. All players must show their =
valid
BWRA ID pass and sign in at the desk before playing. The recreation attendant must check
proper attire, shoes, number of players, etc. Guests and all round robin tournam=
ent
players must also sign in at the desk.

Reservations. Bethany West owners, their accompanying guests and tenan=
ts,
can reserve court time between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends from

Tennis
Round Robins. All Bethany West owners, the=
ir
guests, and tenants are invited to play in weekly round robin tournaments
throughout the peak season. P=
lease
check for specific times and scheduling at the clubhouse. BWRA owners may register, in
person, one day in advance for the tournament and may sign up one additional
family member. All other play=
ers
may not sign up until

Children’s
Clinics and Tournaments. Beginner and intermediate cl=
inics
and tournaments will be offered during the peak season, Monday through
Friday. See flyers at clubhou=
se.

Court
Courtesy. Smoking, glass bottles and f=
ood
are strictly prohibited on the courts.&nbs=
p;
Please wait until a point is completed before walking behind players,
returning a ball to another court or requesting return of a ball to your
court. Teaching or other beha=
vior
that interferes with the play and concentration of others, including loud,
abusive or profane language and lengthy conversation unrelated to tennis is
strictly forbidden. Please br=
